Description: Review layout of Proloquo2Go, how to create a new user and the different vocabulary options available. Review basic programming and editing processes, button/folder and page properties, VocaPriority feature and Expressive Power feature. Review Appearance, Speech, Access Methods, Interaction, Grammar, Prediction, Vocabulary, Restrictions, Privacy, General Options and Social Sharing. Review guided access, creating manual boards, iPad accessories, etc. Discuss specific cases through case study and discussion.

Beginner's Guide to AAC Assessment

Then this course is for you! We will discuss the following: What is Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC)? When is an AAC assessment warranted? Why should we assess? Types of AAC & Myths and facts about AAC, and the basic framework for AAC assessment and feature matching.

Introduction to LAMP Words for Life for Accent

Description: In this three-hour course, participants will learn about the LAMP WFL vocabularies, programming and customizing those vocabularies and basic implementation strategies. The difference between LAMP and LAMP WFL will be discussed as well as the three levels of LAMP WFL-84 1-hit, 84 transition and 84 full. The first segment will cover customizing and adding words to the vocabulary. A variety of tools an strategies for teaching WFL will be reviewed. Hands-on practice in encouraged throughout the course, so come prepared to learn and practice. This course is intended for people who are currently using or interested in learning more about the LAMP Words for Life vocabulary on either an Accent device or the LAMP WFL iPad app. This course briefly discusses the LAMP approach but it is not a LAMP training.

Description: This seminar will offer practical teaching strategies to use when working with someone who is learning language with AAC. It will cover a variety of topics including: providing time to explore, immediate responses, teaching multiple meanings of words and making learning language fun. Participants will learn quick and easy strategies that can be used routinely during AAC intervention. Therapy ideas and video examples are provided throughout. Strategies presented in this course are not device specific. This course is relevant for anyone who is working with a child who uses a communication device.
